ARIES

March 21 – April 19

Ten of Coins

You’ve spent the winter hoarding your victories big and small, taking time to recognize and learn from your accomplishments before stowing them away to keep warm. The Ten of Coins is a validation of your hard work, tangible evidence of what you receive in return. It’s safe and secure here in this moment, but you’re running the risk of turning too far away from adventure for the sake of basking in what you’ve already done. Finding a genuine, emotional way to include others in your process can only bring more wealth to you! Taurus season is a celebration of growth, and you can rest easy knowing you’ve already planted your roots deeply enough.

TAURUS

April 20 – May 20

The Empress

The Empress rules generously over Taurus season every spring, and with so much growth and rebirth it’s hard to know where to look first. This bounty caters directly to sensuous Taureans, and who would ever want to uproot when you’ve found a spot in paradise? The line between indulgence and a lack of motivation can easily blur for a Taurus, but this part of the year is all yours to determine if you’re only nourishing what serves you when it’s guaranteed. You can’t afford to squander this opportunity. Collaborating on something new can give you some perspective on how much good can come out of pushing yourself out of bounds, and someone to hold you accountable when you find yourself too cozy again.

GEMINI

May 21 – June 20

Eight of Cups

The retrograde of any planet is an opportunity to take inventory of what no longer serves us and what leaves us wanting more, regardless of where we fall on the Zodiac. Saturn rules the structuring of our lives, the boundaries we put in place for the greater good, and its journey through retrograde from April 29 to September 18 is cause for deep reflection. Gemini, you must make a commitment to yourself first before anyone else. Journeying inward, even if the intensity of the retrograde period may be painful, will show you what you’ve been holding on to too tightly. When we begin to make rules for ourselves that lead to self-punishment, there’s no energy left to move forward. The Eight of Cups wants you to know that the work you’re putting into yourself is making a difference, and you carry these tools with you everyday. You are always changing, never the same person twice, and breaking patterns that hold you back will give you freedom you’ve never known.

CANCER

June 21 – July 22

Ace of Coins

Patient Cancer, the Ace of Coins is asking you to recognize the absolute possibility of the coming months. What we do to feed our souls and what we do for money is not always aligned, but you’re being given the opportunity to see the small adjustments you can make to bring these two aspects together. The security of material and financial wealth is seductive, but you have wiggle room when it comes to wanting more when you put your work out for the world to see. With the new moon in Taurus on May 4, focus your energy on taking your creative output to the next level.

LEO

July 23 – August 22

King of Coins

There is a pattern that can emerge from hardship — genuine victories and moments of success in our lives can be fully clouded by the thinking it could all be taken from us in an instant, if it’s even real to begin with. The generosity of the King of Coins aligns with the Leo’s inherent talent for truly giving it all away to those in their orbit. This makes more room for that quality to be exploited, deeply wounding the Leo and sowing distrust. Pluto is stationed in retrograde from April 24 to October 3, affecting how we are able to react to change, good or bad, when it pops up in our lives. You can’t possibly know what’s going to happen at all times, but you can use the next six months to find control over the way you allow yourself to adapt.

VIRGO

August 23 – September 22

The Magician

Venus enters Taurus on May 15, kicking the door down and asking what makes you tick? Venus affects what and who we love, how we make and spend our money, the way we see the world and what we’re really all about. The Magician is the conduit of all the energy in the universe, channeling it into the work we do and our connections with other people. Venus rules Taurus, and an overindulgence in what makes us feel secure leads to sacrifices of standard, whether it’s in the art we make or in the way we treat the people we love. Is there a disconnect between what you’re meant to do in this life and what you’re presently doing? Take an honest look at the way you move through the world this month, and make sure it’s aligning with foundation of who you really are.

LIBRA

September 23 – October 22

Strength

What does it mean to be strong? What can we do when we have to be strong, but we don’t want to be? The fight or flight instinct is natural in all of us, but it’s not in your nature to run from a fight. By the time Mars enters Cancer around May 15, you might find yourself so wound up on the defense you’re unable to dial back the aggression. Being gentle with yourself in moments where strength is required will give you the relief you need and the language to express what you need from a place of peace over anger. You can extend that strength to others, and your burden becomes a superpower.

SCORPIO

October 23 – November 21

The High Priestess

The High Priestess has to be a Scorpio, right? The ability to sit still and look inward, to reflect and take inventory, that is a gift Scorpios and the High Priestess share. This level of awareness can be a double-edged sword, and if wisdom really does come from within, you’ll never get a clear read if you cut yourself down (expertly) every time. You may not like it, but Jupiter’s position in retrograde from April 10 to August 11 asks you to practice self-compassion over self-judgment; to acknowledge abundance, to honor possibility. With the new moon in Taurus on May 4, you might just find you have a little more room to stretch out and think bigger after “spring cleaning” the way you think about you.

SAGITTARIUS

November 22 – December 21

Two of Swords

The classic imagery of the Two of Swords shows us a blindfolded woman with a serene expression, seated with two swords held gently in front of her. It’s powerful at face value — to see a woman unconcerned because she knows she is enough. You will always be enough for you, and that is profound. But considering that she’s blindfolded, we can’t help but wonder what she’s missing out on for the sake of safety. It’s time to let someone in, Sagittarius. Mercury enters Taurus on May 6, inviting you to let your guard down and enjoy communication that fills your cup. You may be able to do it alone, but you certainly don’t have to right now.

CAPRICORN

December 22 – January 19

Ten of Wands

We’re a little less than halfway through the year, but somehow you have more plates than you can spin, too many pies and not enough hands, and you’ve bitten off more than you can chew. Basically, you’re burnt out. You’re not selfish, you have standards. The Ten of Wands is a validation that you are more than capable of taking on more than most, but it isn’t worth the cost of projects and relationships unraveling. It might feel easier for you to shoulder the burden for the peace of mind of knowing it’ll be done right, but all celestial signs this month point to the value of communicating your needs clearly.

AQUARIUS

January 20 – February 18

King of Coins

Have you been fully conscious of the way you interact with people in your life? You may be experiencing moments of miscommunication, times where the best of your intentions fall flat. There’s a heightened sense of vulnerability for everyone this month, and you might find it difficult to switch gears to a more conscious pace. The King of Coins represents prosperity, but asks you to look honestly at the ways in which you are reckless when speaking to others. By the time Mercury shifts from Taurus to Gemini on May 21, you will have taken care to deliver thoughtful, measured responses to the world around you. When people feel truly seen by you, you’re honoring their desire to see you in a position of authority.

PISCES

February 19 – March 20

King of Cups

The stakes get higher as we head into the summertime. Emotions and senses run hot, the actual heat plays its tricks on us, and every moment seems to have an extra layer of urgency, no matter how important it actually is. It seems unfair to make a Pisces feel even more deeply, right? The King of Cups is big Pisces energy — gentle, creative, intuitive, kind. The world deserves to stand in the light of the kind of person you are. When you feel and see all, it might be your first instinct to internalize it, to shield others from the intensity. These emotions come straight to the forefront with the full moon in Scorpio on May 18, and making yourself “naked” can put you in the position of perceiving betrayal or slights against you when in a heightened state of emotion. Stay present with yourself, and you will be able to protect yourself and find release at the same time
